Help protect families and save lives. (368 hits)

This past weekend, pro-life Americans commemorated the 39th anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court ruling that legalized abortion on demand. Observances across the nation remembered the millions of preborn children lost because of Roe v. Wade, and culminated in hundreds of thousands taking part in the annual "March for Life" in our nation's capital.

But even as the nation mourned the loss of preborn babies and their right to life, the federal government announced its refusal to broaden a religious exemption in the new health care reform law—a decision that will force hospitals, schools and scores of other faith-based charitable organizations to provide health insurance coverage for contraceptives, sterilizations and possible abortion-causing drugs.

It's clear that Christians must be involved in engaging the culture and protecting life. Government policies are threatening religious freedom, and court rulings continue to deny preborn children the right to life. That's why Focus on the Family is committed to making a difference in our culture and helping save the lives of these precious preborn babies. Will you be part of this inspiring work?

One way you can be involved is to support the efforts of Focus on the Family's Option Ultrasound Program™ (OUP), which provides grants for pro-life pregnancy medical clinics to purchase ultrasound machines or train staff in how to use this life-saving equipment, along with other vital ministry efforts. Since OUP's inception in 2004, it's estimated that more than 120,000 babies have been saved from abortion through a combination of counseling and ultrasound!

Will you join with Focus on the Family in saving preborn babies, as well as helping fund other vital projects that help families thrive? Your gift will help save lives, even as the culture becomes increasingly hostile to the sanctity of life.

Protecting life is a top priority here at Focus on the Family. Thanks for partnering with us to make a difference!

For faith and family,

Tom Minnery
Senior Vice President, Government & Public Policy
