U . S . War In Iraq Officially OVER: American Military LEAVES IRAQ !!! (1051 hits)
(CNN) -- A few years ago, when I would tell people that my husband was deployed to Afghanistan, they would often respond with, "Well, at least he's not in Iraq," a comment I always found ignorant and irritating. But now, with the Iraq war ending, I am grateful that my husband's deployments were all to Afghanistan, to the war that the world -- at least temporarily -- forgot.
[...I hope that, going forward, Americans will keep in mind that the men and women who served in Iraq did so honorably and nobly and that they and their families sacrificed greatly for our nation. They deserve the gratitude of the nation that sent them -- again and again and again -- to war. ...]
Let me tell ya... PTSD ain't no joke for the ones who have live on. I pray that President Obama and the VA Hospitals will do better to help these soldiers.

Iraq Sunday, December 18, 2011 Jen Fad --
Early this morning, the last of our troops left Iraq.
As we honor and reflect on the sacrifices that millions of men and women made for this war, I wanted to make sure you heard the news.
Bringing this war to a responsible end was a cause that sparked many Americans to get involved in the political process for the first time. Today's outcome is a reminder that we all have a stake in our country's future, and a say in the direction we choose.
