As women sometimes we can be pretty tough on ourselves. We nurture others, but neglect our own needs and desires. We pour into others, but never quite pursue fully the dreams and talents we have. We offer forgiveness to others, but hold tightly to self-condemnation.
We have a tough time accepting and loving ourselves fully—the selves that God designed and rejoices over. Just as prayer, fasting, and contemplation are spiritual disciplines, pursuing self-acceptance also takes a daily spiritual practice. And without it, we can't hope to make the kind of life-change on ourselves, our families, friends, churches, or communities we so desperately desire.
Of all the disciplines, acceptance may be the most difficult for us to grasp onto and practice. So Kyria is here to help! We've put together our newest digital magazine on this topic. We've included pieces on offering self-forgiveness, moving beyond self-condemnation, and learning how to stop comparing.
