TLC Cancels Kate Gosselin's Kate Plus 8 Reality Show (455 hits)
Upon hitting what will be the show's 150th episode, TLC is bringing down the axe on Kate Gosselin's Kate Plus 8. TLC confirmed that after the finale of the show's current season, it will be lights out for Gosselin and her adorable eight. TLC has decided not to renew another season of Kate +8," the network told HuffPost Celeb's Rob Shuter in a statement.
... He told entertainment site Radar Online that he was "very relieved" that his kids can finally have normal lives. " He also voiced hope that his children would get more opportunities to spend time together and in particular, he said, "I hope they can have more private family moments. I hope that this will bring more privacy to my children and that they can get the proper attention they need for any personal issues they might have in the future."
Of Kate's Reaction to her Ex's comments...
...During a taped interview that aired during Monday night's "Kate Plus 8" episode, Kate didn't speak about the show's cancellation. But she did talk about her ex-husband. "I know that I'm glad to be divorced and on my own." But she's not bitter. Far from it. Kate went on to say, "I wouldn't change my marriage because I have eight awesome kids that I would not change." Kate, 36, added, "But people change and they're not who you thought they were, and if they're not for you, move on. And I have."
Kate also cleared the air when it comes to Jon's lady friends. "I don't care if his girlfriends change weekly, yearly, monthly," Kate said. "I don't give it a second thought... more power to him."
Part of that acceptance may stem from the fact that the two rarely interact. "Unless I have to deal with him with the kids, I don't, which is good because it keeps the peace." When they do have to chat about the kids, it's usually over email, phone, or text message.
