Saying Goodbye to Nicole ' Peaches' Kingsborough, 38 (Is So Hard to Do); Shot in the Head By Boyfriend (3906 hits)
CLINTON, SC (FOX Carolina) - Hundreds of people packed a Clinton church Tuesday for the funeral of a woman who investigators said was killed last week by her boyfriend of more than 20 years. Investigators said 38-year-old Nicole Kingsborough was shot in the head by Benny Brown Jr. on Wednesday night after she arrived to work at the Fehrer plant in Fountain Inn.
Laurens County deputies said that after killing Kingsborough, Brown was involved in a shootout with authorities in Clinton that killed Deputy Roger Rice. There were so many people at New Bethel AME Church on Tuesday that some people had to stand outside during the service. A candlelight vigil has been scheduled for 6 p.m. at 66 Coleman Road in Clinton, which is the home of Kingsborough's mother. Kingsborough is survived by three children, the youngest of which is 3.

Thanks for the comments to this blog. Peaches was such an amazingly friendly and joyful person. I stll remember her smile and the sound of her laughter as a kid. She was just a beautiful person and I'm really sorry that her friends, children, and loved ones will not be able to share that with her anymore.
We need to put an end to domestic violence and I don't mean go to the police or judge for restraining orders, but young women need to arm themselves and learn how to fire a gun.
