Yesterday was a very hard day. It seemed like life was going to take me out. I was weary, tired, frustrated and most of all discouraged. I have tried for years to make something work in my life. Overcoming obstacles that most could not even understand. Daily, I stretch out my hands unto the Lord, and it seemed I was getting hard pressed on every side. So I called my prayer partner and we began to vent. It was wonderful. Later in the day I had to really get my foundation fixed. I was beginning to faint. However, as always the Lord has a Word for His people who are called by His name. He says if we stand at the door and knock , he will answer. However, so many times we knock on the door for material things. We need more money, Lord give me a promotion blah! blah! blah! I learned yesterday we need to stand at the door and knock when we feel weary, tired, frustrated, beaten and discouraged. The Word of God says; “He gives power to the faint; and to them who have no might he increases their strength.” (Isaiah 40:29) This was so ground-breaking for me. We have to knock on the door and say Lord! give me power to not faint. Lord, increase my strength! this is needed in a world where people are always trying to tear you down, when the world seems to press hard upon your heart. When it seems that hope is no longer an option. Where faith sometimes can make you weak. This is real. There is nothing wrong with feeling weak. So many people believe that as a Christian you cannot go through nothing, you cannot feel discouraged, broken, you can’t weep. You are supposed to have Jesus. However, we are flesh, human and beings of emotions that the Most High God has created to experience life. Therefore, we are made to go through something, to have hard times, to feel pressed. But, because we do have Jesus we can stand at the door and knock and say to the Lord, give me strength and power Lord so that I will not faint. The scriptures states; “even young men will faint and be weary; and the young man shall utterly fall; but they that Wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint. (Isaiah 40:30-31). This is so we will not faint. God will renew your strength. We will have struggles, obstacles and adversities in our lives that make it difficult sometimes. We will question whether God hears us or even if we are hearing from God at all. But through His divine word we are able to share in the goodness of God who shall renew us daily. In the end as Paul writes; “But thou has known fully my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience, afflictions and persecutions which came upon me in Antioch, Lystra what persecution I endured, but out of all them The Lord delivered me. (2Timothy 3;10-11). We shall not faint. We must endured. Even though it seems like we are not getting anywhere. When even those in leadership don’t understand, when our boss’s look down upon us, when we feel like trials just keep coming without relief. God says; he will give power to the faint. AMEN.. That is something to shout about. In some ways, I believe that in our weakness is when God is able to get the best out of us. Our trials, afflictions and persecution is when God’s glory truly is revealed in us as those around us watch in suspense how we will walk through the storms of our lives and see the magnificent power of Jesus manifested in our faith. This is how we overcome through faith. So that in the end we can say as Paul; ” I have fought the good fight , I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. ” (2Timothy 4:7) What wonderful words. If you noticed he said I have FOUGHT, the good FIGHT! and that is what we must do FIGHT. No where does it say that life has no afflictions, trials, obstacles or hard times. But it does say in those times is when we can lay it all Jesus to give us strength to FIGHT and He will give us the power not to faint and the increase our strength so we can be a living breathing RHEMA word and manifestation of the Glory and Power of Jesus. In closing remember this “Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold unto eternal life whereunto you are called and have professed a good profession before witnesses.” (1Timothy 6;12). So fight and faint not God will give you power to overcome. AMEN.
