WASHINGTON -- Forget Too Big to Fail. How about Too Fat to Fight? That's just what is happening to America, First Lady Michelle Obama starkly warned yesterday. "More than one in four young people are unqualified for military service because of their weight," she said at a DC public elementary school yesterday.
"Childhood obesity isn't just a public-health issue," she said. "It is a national-security threat as well." The first lady's harsh assessment of America's defenseless little couch potatoes and tater tots yesterday was part of President Obama's bill-signing ceremony for the Healthy Hunger-Free Kids Act, aimed at improving the nutrition of school lunches.
