Lady Gaga says she's not a piece of meat! (637 hits)
On Monday's VMA-themed season premiere of "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," there were some valuable questions to be asked of a number of the show's performers.
However, really all of the attention was put front and center on Lady Gaga. The controversial artist has long been known for her fashion, and she took it to new levels Sunday by wearing a dress made entirely out of meat.
So what did Gaga have to say about her decision to wear such an outfit -- one that even made Ellen slightly uncomfortable? Here we go:
“Well, it’s certainly no disrespect to anyone that’s vegan or vegetarian….I, as you know, am the most judgment-free human being on Earth. However, it has many interpretations — but for me this evening it’s that if we don’t stand up for what we believe in, if we don’t fight for our rights, pretty soon we’re gonna have as much rights as the meat on our bones."
"And, I am not a piece of meat," she added.
So not everyone may exactly know exactly what Gaga is talking about here, but it certainly seems believable to suggest that she truly was not meaning to offend animal activists with her dress. Rather, she was simply doing as she always done in terms of being herself.
Did you have a problem with the dress? Check out plenty of photos along with the video below.
This lady is outrageous with her outfits and very talented. She's provocative to make a point, not for s*x appeal and that's more then I can say for a lot of these artists out there. She's not a piece of meat! I like the idea.
