Angelina Jolie says Brad Pitt is her only friend (377 hits)
Angelina Jolie has spent the last few weeks tirelessly advocating for the victims of the flooding in Pakistan. She's been spending so much time in her role as Goodwill Ambassador for the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) that other parts of her life may be beginning to suffer.
In an interview with CNN's Sanjay Gupta, Jolie opened up about the people, or lack of people, she can talk to about her harrowing experiences overseas.
"I'll talk to my family," she said. "I'll talk to Brad; he wants to know as much as he can about these issues and every trip. He's been here as well, he came with me after the earthquake. But I don't know, I don't have a lot of friends I talk to. He is really the only person I talk to."
Jolie also appears to be putting her film career on the back burner in favour of her humanitarian work. Natalie Portman is reportedly set to take over Jolie's leading role in the forthcoming 3-D science fiction film 'Gravity'
Yet, while Jolie may spend much of her time helping the less fortunate, she hasn't forsaken the good life entirely. Brad Pitt and her just purchased a US$40M villa in Italy. So when she returns from Pakistan she'll have 18,000 square feet in which to be alone with her only friend. What more could a woman want?
