From the looks of things Ms. Kagan appears to be a very dedicated and committed woman. There is no doubt in my mind she will be a great asset to the Supreme Court.

I don't know about that especially since Kagan has much to prove regarding her judicial fitness to serve on the high court. I'm a supporter of family and I'm disturbed that she supports abortion and spends her money trying to put prochoice people in high places. Serving Thurgood Marshall and saying nice things about him, doesn't give her a pass.
She needs to prove herself and the fact that we are looking at documents and things she has written isn't cutting it for me. We shouldn't have to dig to find out how or what kind of judge she's going to be.

I realize what the Republicans are saying, but my reason for not supporting Kagan is different. Although I would like to see a woman comfirmed, I just don't believe Kagan is the right fit regardless of the Republican "polictical machines".
I'm not sure what you mean by your second paragraph regarding the big businesses. Can you clarify?

Ms. Kagan will probably rule like any other jewishNewYorker, 50-something Gal, somewhatShort and NO athlete, who has Never Married or will ever bear children; might rule.

O.K. now what about our laws of equality and how the rpeublicans will not be treating Kagan if they say the Bush's pick for the supremecourt is acceptable for her not having served as a judge and because of the political party that she worked for and still turn right back around and use these to say this is exactly the reason that Kagan is not qualified to sit on the supreme court...
You know Jen a lot like those on the right wanting our president run out of office as president because he was trying to make big business under his control (SOCIALIST, HITLER, MARXIST, ECT.) for doing the very exact thing being used against him noW AND only because of him not taking over the 3rd largest big business on the planet sooner than his administration did?!?
