February 26 Wallace D. Farad *This date celebrates the birth of Wallace D. Farad, founder of the Nation of Islam (sometimes called the Black Muslim) movement in the United States.
Though his birth date and year are not confirmed, Farad immigrated to the United States sometime before 1930. In that year, he established in Detroit the Temple of Islam as well as the University of Islam, which was the temple's school, and the Fruit of Islam, a corps of male guards. Farad preached that blacks (who were not to be called Negroes) must prepare for an inevitable race war and that Christianity was the religion of slaveowners.
Accordingly, he gave his followers Arabic names to replace those that had originated in slavery. Farad offered Blacks a credo of moral and cultural superiority to their white oppressors. In 1934 he disappeared without a trace. Members of the NOI movement believe Farad to be the incarnation of Allah, and his birthday, February 26, is observed as Saviour's Day.

It is one of the few days that is honored particularly by Muslims in America. Very few people honor children slaves.....in other words Black Americans. Even in the religion of Islam....though Muslims are suppose to respect the leveling playing field that Islam puts all muslims, no matter rich or poor, no matter educated or a fool, we are to respect the principle of Equality. And Black Americans don't mind honoring prophets chosen in other parts of the world, OK What my point ?
When the muslim scholars heard that God had left the 99 and went looking for the 1 sheep lost....even some of them slighted going after "so-called Negroes" was a waste. Forget those dumb fools....is the aroma American Muslims sense. But, for the first time in history the coming of Master Fard Muhammad was the first that Allah came particular after the poor black slave. Its a wonderful thing and a wonderful day the day that Master Fard Muhammad was born.
