VIBE Magazine also confirms R&B Legend Teddy Pendergrass Dead At 59 One of soul music’s most indelible voices has passed away. Teddy Pendergrass, the gruff-toned R&B superstar who shined as the genre’s biggest s*x symbol for much of the ‘70s and early ‘80s, died Wednesday at the age of 59.
In a press statement, the singer’s son, Teddy Pendergrass II, said his father died at Bryn Mawr Hospital in suburban Philadelphia following his eight-month recovery from colon cancer. Sad that he died, Prayers goes out to his family! I remember his music from when I was a child, my dad would have his music playing as I was coming in from School. However his music will live forever..

I woke up around 1am and listened to his music on utube. One thing for sure is that his music will live on. May his soul rest in peace and my prayers also go out to his family and loved ones.
