FARRAKHAN SPEAKS ON RELEASING THE POWER OF GOD WITHIN MIND, BODY, AND SOUL (6949 hits)
NOTE FROM SIEBRA: The following text is excerpted from a speech delivered at Union Temple Baptist Church in Washington, D.C.
The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan:
Allah (God) introduces Himself to us in the Qur'an saying, “I Allah am the Best Knower.” You can't release the power within without knowledge. The thing that separates us from the beasts of the field is that there is a hunger and a thirst in the human being for knowledge.
Jesus said, “Let him that would be great among you, let him be your servant.” You cannot serve if you think you are greater than that which you are called to serve. To be a servant means you must see those whom you are called to serve as greater than yourself.
I have always loved you from a little boy, and I have always wanted to serve you, but did not quite know how. I was a musician, an entertainer, and thought that since Allah (God) had given me such an abundance of talent, that maybe my job was to make you happy through music. But I met the Honorable Elijah Muhammad and Malcolm X and they showed me that the way to serve you was to study the word of Allah (God) and deliver to us the truth. For it is said by Jesus, “You shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
That service of your people is a noble pursuit. Becoming a servant of truth and the God of truth is a noble pursuit, but as we mature in the word of Allah (God), we have to recognize that the vessel that Allah (God) chooses to deliver truth must be purified of the impediments that hinder the telling of truth. It takes time to purify. It's a process that oftimes is full of pain, but, it is also full of introspection, where one must never be afraid to look at self and to point out, as best you can, the things of self that need improvement so that one may be an even better servant of Allah (God) and the people and the truth.
Did you know that there is power within you that needs to be released? The Honorable Elijah Muhammad taught us that Allah (God) is the Self-Created; He was not begotten. To prove His Self-Creation, He makes all living things bear witness to His Self-Creation. When a woman says that she is pregnant, that means that something happened between her last cycle and the one that she missed. She was not conscious of what was going on; therefore, she had nothing to do with it except to provide an egg. And the man had nothing to do with it except that he provided a sperm. But in the sperm was intelligence. It knew exactly what to do; it started seeking what it was to do something with, and found what it was looking for. The first cell of life began without mom or dad knowing what was happening. The intelligence in the first cell of life was Allah (God) Himself.
Look at that body of yours. You didn't form the heart, the lungs, the liver, the pancreas, the spinal cord, or the brain. You didn't give it structure of bones and sinews and flesh. You didn't give it eyes to see and ears to hear and a tongue to speak and hands to fashion what was in the mind and feet to walk, but a God was in the womb, a Creator was in the womb. Allah (God) says in the Qur'an, “I created you in the womb.” If He, God, is the Creator of life, then all of our lives belong to Him Who created us. And honor and respect is due to the mother who bore us and the father whose seed generated life for us.
Who is the Creator? There isn't but One and that is the Power Within. But power within needs to have an environment in which to grow. Mothers who smoke, mothers who drink, mothers who eat the wrong kinds of food and mothers whose minds are upset with the wrong kinds of thoughts are forming a life but creating a wrong kind of environment for that life to grow in. After 9 months, that which was initiated by Allah (God) comes into the world for a mother and, hopefully, a father to create an environment for Allah (God) to manifest Himself through that life that He created. That's the power within that cannot be manifested as it should if you don't have a loving environment.
The Holy Qur'an teaches us that when we are born into the world we are born into the world knowing nothing. Then how can you release the power of mind? Brain is not mind; brain is brain. Mind is the sum total of your knowledge, wisdom and understanding; how God's Creation has affected you is what creates mind.
Allah (God) introduces Himself to us in the Qur'an saying, “I Allah am the Best Knower.” You can't release the power within without knowledge. The thing that separates us from the beasts of the field is that there is a hunger and a thirst in the human being for knowledge. And that's why in the first year of life, the child, so curious, learns to crawl. You didn't tell it to crawl, so where does that intelligence come from? Nine months, 10 months later, it finds something strong and it pulls up; then it takes its first step. You didn't tell it to do that; something within told it.
You speak around the child and it learns language. Whatever you do in that environment will affect the growth and development of that child so that the power that is within can be released. But what is the science that will allow us to release it? The power to release what is within starts with knowledge—the knowledge of Allah (God), number one; the knowledge of self, number two. These two areas of knowledge are inseparable. Without the knowledge of Allah (God) you can't see your relationship or connection with Him, that damages your ability to release the power within. Without trust in Allah (God) or faith in Allah (God) you can't release the power within.
When you have a love for, a knowledge of, and a faith in Allah (God), that's the beginning of your release of power. When David slew Goliath, he picked up five smooth stones out of a brook. Goliath had the weapons of war. David had something else. David had faith. David had trust. David believed in and David loved Allah (God), so, although he picked up five stones, he only used one. And what is that one. That one stone represents the pillar of all faith: That there is but One God and your complete trust and belief in that One God sets you apart to release the Power that Allah (God) has already put within.
Allah (God) doesn't choose several men to do his work. He chooses one. And that one, armed with faith and trust in Allah (God), becomes the shepherd entrusted to release the power of those that will listen to that one empowered by Allah (God). Each one of you does not need to look to us who are in leadership as though we have what you don't have. Each of you has what you honor us for tonight. You just need to know how to release your own power and glorify your Creator by the release of the power within.
I'm going to give some characteristics that we have to have. Jesus said that the first commandment is that you should love Allah (God) with all your heart, soul and mind. Once you give yourself totally to Allah (God), in absolute love for Him, that's the beginning of the release of your power.
However, Allah (God) will try you with that which you love the most because He wants to know: Do you love what you love the most more than I Who gave you what you love the most? You can't love your son or your daughter or your mother or your father more than you love Him Who created your mother or your father, or your teacher, or your pastor, or your friends. You must love Him Who gave it all to you.
If He tries you with your son, or your daughter, or your friends, or your career, or your health, your sight, your limbs, and you lose something that you thought you needed, will you love Him then?
If you want to release the power within, then you must pray. When you come to pray, you come to that which cultivates the God within. Wherever you hear truth, no matter whose mouth it comes from, pay attention. Even if you think it's from somebody you think is your enemy, if they speak the truth, then recognize it, humble yourself, and Allah (God) will lift you. He who seeks to lift himself, Allah (God) will abase; and he who humbles himself, Allah (God) will exalt.
I close with these words: Let this mind be in you the same that was in Christ Jesus. Commit his mind—which is really the way Allah (God) looks at things—permit his mind to enter you. His mind in you will release the power of you. “And be not conformed to this world; but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”

Robert, I am not at all familiar with the ideas being discussed here, but I like to talk about religion, and a question occurred to me. In Genesis it says "let us create man in our image". The Christians seem mostly to explain this as meaning the trinity. but I don't believe that. Do your teachings have an explanation for the use of the plural here?

ok, cutie handsome man-wow - what an intellect!--- bottom line. sunniAlIslaam- the way of AlIslaam-is defined in AlQur'aan Kareem- a historical collection of words given by Allaah through Jibril to Mohamed-1400 years ago. I, hassan, hussein, hasan, gloria, jeremy, lopez, ivan, anyone can research in their own languages and the original language of Arabic-the historical and factual content of this understanding of belief. you say, "Nomadic, Barbaric version of Arabic Islam."---you say, "Joke" Yet you claim something that cannot be studied-cannot be understand-is not verified by your jewish/hebrew cousins in Israel.--cannot be verified by anyone -except maybe by the golden calf worshipping thieves of the Sinai plain.

Yahawah, is this the holy name "I am that I am"? Not the earlier God "Most High"?

This is a reply to another Farrakhan blog and I am posting it for all of you to see.
This is a point that should produce a thread for discussion all by itself. If someone for whatever reason chooses to change their direction, it is between them and Allah and should not be our place to judge. In some cases, Believers who leave the Mosque because their belief has been jolted has done so because those in charge of teaching and training failed in their responsibility. Rather then accept the failure to teach and train it is far easier to charge hypocracy.
It is my humble contention that Minister Farrakhan teaches what He Believes and Believes what He teaches. His critics call him names because they disagree with what he teaches or His interpretations. This is the same thing Martin and Malcolm suffered during their time. Martin and Malcolm begin to teach things that no one heard anyone else teach although it is reported that both taught over 25,000 people. No only did the Believer's of that day challenge and mock Martin and Malcolm for teaching things they did not hear anyone else teaching, they actually sought to take their lives.
These kind of people are called zealots and misguided, and as it was in the day of Noah and Moses so will it be in the last days. However, in the last days the zealots will run for their life rather the the other way around.
If the statement made by two of our commenters here is a back hand attempt to claim Minister Farrakhan has continued in deviation, it is my contention and I am willing to challenge all who come that Minister Farrakhan absolutely believes, teaches and lives his life under the acceptance of Allah.
What I will not do, however, is entertain someones opinion of what and how Minister Farrakhan should guide the Nation Of Islam at this hour.
Anyway, I think I talked too long. Now I must go back to drinking my coffee!!!
One of the most frequent of lies is that the NOI is a cult and that Farrakhan is a cult leader. Are there any facts to support the statement to be true? Emphatically No! Let's first look at the definition of a cult. A cult is an organization that is secretive and allows little to no outside investigation of their activities. With the cult leader keeping a silence on the members of the cult to speak to any outside party of people not in the cult. Since day one not only have I been openly speaking with the public about my desire for unification I have been and still are encouraging all people to embrace the NOI's activities. Farrakhan is not a cult leader. If he is then I say the definition of the word 'cult' need to change. In reality NOI's activities show that this is a system (Nation) that will remove the Blackman and Blackwoman from the grips of our open enemy (Devil/Whiteman). To all the people who are outright making the comments about Farrakhan and the NOI, have you all produced one positive activity for our people? That means not telling them to encourage insulting remarks and outright lies. Such as the NOI being a cult and that Farrakhan is a cult leader. No one cannot deny that what the NOI and Farrakhan shares with us is good and benneficial for all our people. If so they would have. If you can prove otherwise than do so, and proving something means present facts not insults, disrespect or lies. Elijah Muhammad (Peace and Blessings Be Upon Him) stated "Rid Yourself of Laziness, be smart and industrious" that means we should all Produce something other than lies, disrespect, dysfunctional families and self hatred for the Blackman and Blackwoman.
The NOI has secured a real future for the planet meaning a place where young minds are involved in positive, creative activities. Some of those young minds have responded to you alls insults and lies in the most respectful of manners which proves the statement "A fool can always insult a civilized person, but a civilized person can't insult a fool because it is not his nature". From all of the comments that I have read on this blog so far it is clear who is the civilized people and who is not. For further clarity refer to Elijah Muhammad's teaching (What is the meaning of civilization? And What is the duty of civilized person?)
P.S. "One of the main attributes of truth for one who lives by it, especially in this day and time if you are with me. Is that it allows one to make choices that are always in their favor. It allows you to always be successful and victorious in a conflict or difficulty. And the greatest and final reward of truth is freedom."--Quote from Elijah Muhammad
