Women have been standing in front of the media at least with their man whenever a scandal breaks, do you think it is time for a change? Is it time for women to let these men stand alone, after all these men didn't consider their women when they publicly humiliated themselves. How long do women have to take the subservient role just to make their men look good?
Is it time for a change and let the world know these men must be held accountable and responsible? What are your thoughts?
I really don't think a woman who chooses to stand with her man is being "subservient" but is just choosing to honor those marriage vows { to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, for as long as we both shall live} regardless to whether the man upholds his part of the vows. That's what makes marriage unique in that it's not a contract but rather a committment to God to do your part. When one honors those vows, God honors that person for their committment to keeping their word. In Gov. Sandford's case, if the media isn't twisting the story I think the wife is committed to the marriage and he is not as evidenced by his most recent trip to see his mistress. I'm praying for his family.
Even if a woman doesn't stand with the man publicly really doesn't mean she isn't supportive of him.

I fully retract my comment about not having a dog in this fight. I do so in the name of all of those unsuspecting, faithful, innnocent wives and children who have beendirectly affected and effected by HIV Aides brough directly to them by the selfish, self centered husbands and fathers. This encludes those who are suffering from this desease, and those motherless children of any and all ages, races, creeds and social status...
Sister Siebra, by now you know that I am married to a Black Muslim, by now you know that I am not a Muslim, but Minister Farrakhan is my chosen Black leader(I will go so far as to say that I idolize him)and yet I am not a Black Muslim, but a N.D. Buddhist.
I have said all of this to say this...I am not dependant on my husband, his position in life or his goals to be the best or worst person that he can be in order to gat my identity/ self worth inorder to be the best or the owrst person I can be therefore
I will stand by my husband if he is attcked by racism in any: way ,form or fashion but I will not do this if I have to do this at the expense of my self esteem in any: way form or fashion or political position. I say political position and even political ambition such as the Hillary Clintons. But then I guess Hillary is not a good example from me, because i have always and still believe that she is gay.(smile)

This is something that never fail to surprises me...how adultry is/ is not a SIN and a violation of the 10 Commandments, because it changes with each and ever situtation, especially in the political arena. for example Marriage is to be between a Man and a woman, not a man and other women, or a woman and other men...(smile)Oh, some times it depends on who can afford the most lawyers or an audiance with the Pope if this is legal, not a sin, etc.
And, please, trust me I have no dog in this fight as I am one who will aways be responsibale for my own actions not on the agreement, disagreemant on the socially accepted norm of the day...
