WHAT ARE YOU DOING MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND? (548 hits)
Seems like a holiday to relax, bar-b-que and enjoy family and friends, but that's not all. I'm thinking about those who have died defending our Country. I'm remembering their families in prayer while being thankful for their service in the Armed Forces. As for those who are still serving to protect us, I give a wave of thankfulness and prayer for your safe return home.
Then, I think I'll head out for some recreation. What are you doing for the weekend? Have a blessed and enjoyable weekend.
I just suffered two strokes back in Febuary. I am in alot of pain today so I wont be doing to much. I like your blog because you have hit the nail on the head. My father, brother, fiance, and a couple of uncles are all military or retired military. Thank GOD I didnt loose any of them over seas but they all put in some time to keep this country free. So that on this weekend we could go to the beach and BBQ with friends and family and not have to worry about a thing. Bless the families that did loose someone in a war or even had someone injured in a war!

I think about the ones who have died on this day. And really feel the country don't do enough for these men and women. I also think about the one's who come home and can't function on their own anymore (my son) their in a state of confusion and really can't move forward. These young men and women need our prayers and assistance in so many ways...so what I asked if you attend any services turn to them and tell them "Thanks for a job well done" Mother of a United States Marine who will have battles in his mind for the rest of his life!
