Queens, NY – March 30, 2017 – On March 28 2017 LIAACC New York State’s largest African American Chamber Ladie's of LIAACC celebrated National Women’s Month “Women by honoring three extraordinary women whose work serves as a shining example of the work the distinguished work women are doing in their perspective fields in the New York region.
LIAACC’S Women’s History Month program was held on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at Pa-Nash Restaurant located in Rosedale, Queens New York.
In 1987, Congress declared March as National Women’s History Month in perpetuity. A special Presidential Proclamation is issued every year which honors the extraordinary achievements of American women. President Jimmy Carter’s Message to the nation designating March 2-8, 1980 as National Women’s History Week.
The Ladies of LIAACC Awards committee was both privileged and honored to recognize these honorees at this year’s award celebration; each honoree was designated as “Women Who Shine” in the particular field or industry and serves as a shining example of the work women perform year-round.
