A new study of media growth in India has resulted in a lower growth in India. This is according to a recent research report from Gartner. The report suggested that four significant forces will shape businesses during the next 5 years are IT, mobile, cloud and social media. India is was stated to become the world’s largest consumer economies in the next 5 years and by 2014 India is expected to have more than 1 billion mobile subscribers. The report evaluates that the use of social media during the next 5 years will be at it’s lowest in India compared to other countries. Some key factors of losing ground on the social networks may be with the risk of privacy concerns and cultural fabric of the country. Presently, India has over 25 million users of one of it’s social networking site.
