This is an entirely new unit within our business. Devoted to applying big data to clinical trials, this high-profile team aims to be a global leader in the application of big data within the drug development industry. The combination of complex information sets and methodologies is key to accelerating our outputs and by definition the speed at which patients can access new treatments. A multi-functional team, it is also an innovation for our business, requiring entrepreneurial and independent thinking to build our capability. Manager / Senior Manager, Programming – the role
This is a leadership role within our programming team. As a data expert, this is a unique opportunity to build unparalleled in-depth knowledge within our business. Working with complex data and challenging requests, you will have the opportunity to develop your leadership and team management skills as your team create and develop innovative methodologies and code that facilitates and supports our studies.
Your typical activities might include:
Managing and providing guidance to a team of statisticians and statistical programmers – both on-shore and offshore – to develop innovative methodologies and deliver custom studies to support CRO business.
Collaborating with business owners, subject matter experts, and go to market teams to develop and deliver analytics.
Leveraging data assets to support CRO business, optimizing design and execution of clinical trials, and improving risk management.
Overseeing multiple projects from concept to completion.
Direct analytical methodology research, project execution, streamlining process and building efficiencies.
Comprehensive testing of your own code.
Qualifications & Requirements
Our ideal candidate will have:
A Masters’ degree in Statistics, Economics, Econometrics, and Computer Science or a related field.
At least five years’ of relevant experience, or a PhD and at least three years’ experience working with and analyzing big data.
Strong PL/SQL or SAS skills and an understanding of ICD 9/10, HCPCS J code and NDC codes.
Ideally experience of working with large volumes of complex claims data.
Leadership and people management experience.
