Responsibilities:
The Assistant Director of Stewardship is responsible for executing various programming needs in support of the stewardship function for major gift and annual donors. This includes personalized recognition of gifts, execution of recognition events and activities, and additional components as identified in annual stewardship plans.
Reports to: Director of Marketing and Stewardship.
Responsibilities:
Acknowledgment
Manage the day-to-day acknowledgment process
Write personal stewardship letters to leadership donors for President's signature
Update annual donor walls and online honor roll
Coordinate the annual student thank you letter writing project
Update scholarship section of college catalog of courses (online)
Communication/Reports
Develop content, including interview and stories for stewardship e-newsletter (3x/year)
Create annual endowment reports for donors
Recognition--Event Planning
Handle planning and logistics of all stewardship events (identify location, catering, invitations, etc.)
Events include: stewardship events for recognition socities (1863 Society and President's Circle), monthly President's Dinners, Scholarship luncheon and other events as needed
Individual Stewardship Plans
Assist in implementation of action items upon request for indvidual stewardship plans of prinicipal and major donors
Other Duties
Departmental Collaboration and Eye for Detail
All responsibilities mentioned above require good collaboration and team work both within the Stewardship team, the Advancement Department, and with colleagues throughout the College
Attention to detail will also be paramount to success in the position
This is a highly visible job to both internal and external audiences (alumni and donors) and is critical to relationship building
Experience and Qualifications:
Education Required: Bachelors Degree
Experience: Minimum 3 years
Skills/ Abilities: Database, excel, word, written and verbal skills essential, attention to detail essential, report analysis
