Job Purpose and Summary
This position provides cross-functional and technical support to Information Technology (IT) staff on a seasonal basis. Work involves providing assistance and support to professional staff in various areas of the IT Department such as Technology and Innovation Management, Geoanalytics, Enterprise Business Solutions, Technology Infrastructure, End User Support and Security. Work is subject to frequent direction and review.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Responds to end user incidents, requests and support calls. Provides guidance to users’ questions originating from call scripts, Business Process Procedures (BPPs), reports, job aids and frequently asked questions.
Assists in the development, implementation and operations of Geoanalytic and/or Enterprise Business Solution enhancements and projects.
Participates in testing and validation processes for system implementation.
Assists in the development of requirements and solutions analysis for changes to software, networks and/or systems to support the organization’s business processes.
Assists in the deployment and operation of server and storage management, networking, communications and field devices.
Assists with monitoring security systems and responding to any actual or potential security threats/incidents.
Generates basic reports.
Assists with the research and recommendation of new and enhanced technologies.
Attends meetings and professional development trainings on various organizational business policies, procedures and projects.
Performs departmental documentation, administrative tasks and internal outreach efforts as needed.
Uses situational awareness to anticipate and prevent accidents.
Performs related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education and Licenses
High school diploma or equivalent certification.
Must be currently enrolled into their sophomore, junior or senior year of a post-secondary educational program, and be majoring in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Geographic Information Systems for the upcoming fall semester.

Position demands include frequent speaking, writing and reading reports. Position requires frequent work at a computer utilizing business programs and PTC specific operating systems.
Office environment with low levels of noise, adequate lighting and comfortable temperature. Physical environment is generally safe, but safety equipment or precautions must be followed in field conditions.
