IMPORTANT SALARY INFORMATION:
*After completion of six (6) months of successful and satisfactory performance as a Recovery Support Specialist Trainee, an incumbent will be moved to the Recovery Support Specialist classification, HN 14 Step 1 (On the first pay period following the completion of the six (6) month requirement).
ABOUT THE ROLE:
A Recovery Support Specialist Trainee is necessary to provide prompt, recovery-oriented behavioral health support and intervention. Your unique ability to incorporate your recovery experiences into crisis interventions is critical to successful outcomes. Recovery Support Specialist Trainees can help to enhance public safety through effective collaboration with law enforcement and by connecting to treatment when it is more suitable than legal intervention. These types of services, when enhanced by staff who can utilize their own recovery experiences, relieve demand for services by local law enforcement and both emergency room and inpatient hospital services.
