POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
First Shift
Full Time, 40 hours per week.
Monday through Friday.
Location: Newington, CT.
Hybrid (in-office/telework) may be available.
THE ROLE
The Facilities Design unit has an opening for senior level engineer to work on Bus Transportation projects, specifically to support the Department’s conversion from a Diesel to Battery-Electric-Bus Fleet.
The Facilities Design Unit is a multidisciplinary design unit that provides engineering design services and program management to support bus rapid transit, bus maintenance facilities, and other Public Transportation initiated projects.
The position requires considerable knowledge of contemporary techniques, concepts and procedures employed in the field of engineering, as applied to the Department of Transportation.
It is the CTDOT's mission to provide a safe and efficient intermodal transportation network that improves the quality of life and promotes economic vitality for the State and the region. We are looking for energetic and driven team players who are passionate about serving the public and about the work we do within the Division of Facilities and Transit to deliver the CTDOT’s mission.
