Senior Buyer
About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Buyer with expertise within ITAM technology hardware and software procurement activities. The Senior Buyer effectively collaborates across supply chain with internal business partners and third-party providers in order to meet Procure to Pay (P2P) lifecycle activities meeting departmental service level agreements (SLA's).
In this role, you will:
Lead or participate in the process of complex, non-contract purchases, lease or rental of goods, services and equipment
Contribute, plan and negotiate with the supplier to acquire a quality product at the best possible cost
Provide category expertise to recommend alternatives providing advice to address fulfillment needs.
Resolves technical issues for the internal line of business customers regarding systems and/or product selection specification standards in order to meet quality control requirements.
Develop an opportunity to leverage price or productivity benefits from corporate wide contracts and agreements contributing to buyer led savings opportunities.
Contribute to the resolution of initiating the purchasing contracts and associated purchase orders
Analyze, recommend, and lead the implementation of process improvement
Conduct post implementation review of vendor performance
Act as a primary point of contact with suppliers, business stakeholders, and supplier customer support groups
Collaborate with colleagues and managers to resolve purchasing issues
Mentor less experienced buyers
Required Qualifications, US:
4+ years of Procurement experience, Supply Chain experience, or a combination of both, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Required Qualifications, International:
Experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
Experience using data to drive decision making and capacity planning
Experience conducting process analyses to optimize assignment and structure of work to be completed within service level agreements (SLAs)
Knowledge of catalog management, contract structure, contract compliance, spend classification and P2P lifecycle related reporting
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
Knowledge of Ariba Buying and Invoicing, Ariba Guided Buying, and Ariba Catalog Management
Knowledge and understanding of Procure to Pay related systems and operations policies and procedures, preferably within the financial services industry
Job Expectations:
Willingness to work on-site at one of the locations below. Position will require onsite presence in a hybrid capacity (3 or more
days in the office and up to 2 days remotely per week)
