Senior Lead Technology Business Services Consultant
About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Technology Business Services Consultant. This position is part of the Technology Third Party Governance, Control, Policy and Governance team and will be responsible for overseeing controls, policies, processes and Third Party Program implementation to identify, manage and mitigate risks of third parties with Technology risk. The job responsibilities for this position include to work with relevant SMEs and stakeholders to:
Create self-identified issues with suitable remediation plans and drive it to closure
Devise and/or monitor controls to identify gaps to prevent, detect or correct operational risk issues
Validate or enhance key components of processes, including the design and development of process documentation, metrics/KRIs, controls, RACI, policies and standards
Update existing controls and/or develop new controls to manage third party risk
Review risk indicators to drive mitigation strategies, and challenge risk acceptances/exceptions where necessary
Credibly Challenge Third Party program results or implementation plan
Identify and report key risk third party issues
The ideal candidates will have a well-rounded risk and technical background with experience in evaluating and addressing third party risk. The candidate will need to understand technology, third party risk concepts and controls.Â
In this role, you will:
Work as an advisor to more experienced leadership to influence technology matters to develop programs that are effective and efficient for highly complex business and technical needs across one or more lines of business
Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges requiring in depth evaluation across multiple lines of business or the enterprise
Deliver solutions that are long term, large scale, and which require understanding of organizational goals or priorities and technology to develop executable strategies and plans
Provide vision, direction, and expertise to more experienced leadership on implementing innovative and significant business solutions related to technology matters that are large scale, cross functional, or companywide
Engage with the technology team and more experienced leaders to provide support and drive strategic initiatives for the business and for execution of operational processes
Required Qualifications, US:
7+ years of Information Technology in support of Business Services experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following work experience, training, military experience, education
5+ years of Technology Third Party Risk Management experience
Desired Qualifications:
Appropriate industry certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), or Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) preferred
Familiarity with industry control frameworks such as COBIT, ITIL, ISO17799, COSO, etc.
Familiarity with regulatory expectations (e.g., FFIEC) on management of third party and technology outsourcing
Experience developing and cultivating professional relationships
Ability to translate and convey complex technical information to senior technical and non-technical stakeholders in oral and written format
Ability to influence and collaborate at all internal organizational levels and with stakeholders including business partners, project managers, senior executives
Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision in a structured environment
Ability to work effectively in virtual environment where key team members and partners are in various time zones and locations
Good analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
Advanced Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, LiveMeeting and SharePoint) skills
Knowledge and understanding of third party risk assessment procedures, risk mitigation or risk remediation
Experience in assessing risk, writing issues, and developing appropriate corrective actions
Experience leveraging data analysis to understand trends, issues and drive mitigation/remediation
Experience reviewing risk from assessment and vendor performance data to develop and drive mitigations
Experience with updating or developing new controls related to third party riskÂ
