As a Sr. Technology Advisor in our Technology Services (IT) group, you will be a utility player who helps develop IT strategies and leads technology enabled transformation engagements. Your job will be to lead small teams or work-streams to develop technology strategies for Coupa. This includes developing financial models to justify technology investments based upon improvements in business outcome metrics. Working with senior executives to secure commitments to improvement in business outcome metrics based on the delivery of new technology capabilities. Creating solution architects that articulate the current state, interim state, and target state architecture. Developing roadmaps that take into account resource constraints, dependencies, and value realization targets. Program and project managing technology enabled transformation engagements
IT Strategy Work with senior IT executives to identify how to apply technology solutions to maximize business impact.
Create IT strategies supported by completing business cases. Develop detailed technology roadmaps that consider dependencies, constraints, costs as well as benefits realization.
IT Cost Optimization Work with technology leaders to identify, model, and recommend cost optimization strategies including managed services transformation, cloud transformation, infrastructure transformation, data center consolidation, open-source migration, software asset management, application portfolio rationalization, systems retirement, network optimization, device audit, asset buyout, and agile transformation.
Digital Disruption/Innovation Envision ways emerging technologies may disrupt Coupas tech stack and work with leadership to visualize and implement solutions that allow them to seize these opportunities. Research next generation technology trends and architectures
Technology Modernization Identify practical approaches to simplifying and modernizing Coupas technology footprint. Work with leadership to develop business cases and roadmaps based on detailed analysis of our technology environment through application portfolio optimization, cloud strategy, ERP consolidation, mainframe modernization, open-source migration, and other technology modernization strategies.
IT Operating Model Design Work with technology executives to design their IT operating model, including manage services transformation, cloud operating model design, agile transformation, multi-model IT service delivery model design.
Analysis, diagnosis and improvement of processes and governance within the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle)
Application Inventory and portfolio optimization, including IT cost analysis and identification of savings opportunities
Conduct IT Audits and maturity assessments (e.g. IT General Controls audit
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Business, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering)
5+ years of progressive relevant experience in a technology field
Previous consulting experience preferred
Experience with one or more of the following areas (cloud strategy, architecting cloud solutions, IT strategy, IT cost optimization, IT due diligence, post-merger integration or separation, technology modernization, financial modeling, enterprise architecture, design thinking, agile transformation, digital transformation, or IT operating model design)
Knowledge and experience in IT Architecture are highly appreciated (including related certifications such as TOGAF)
Strong ability to work with MS PowerPoint and MS Excel is a must. Programming skills are highly appreciated.
Good knowledge and experience of Agile / DevOps methodologies highly desirable
Able to work well autonomously as well as in a team. Highly analytical and possess good entrepreneurial spirit
Excellent presentation and communication skills
Hands on implementation experience as well as IT strategy experience
