The Department of Finance at the Miami Herbert Business School is seeking a candidate for a faculty position starting in August 2022. This is a tenure track Assistant/Associate/Full Professor position.
This position carries responsibilities in the areas of teaching, research, and service. Preference will be given to candidates with a track record of publications in top-tier finance, economics, and real estate journals or ample evidence of the ability to publish in such journals. We welcome researchers in all concentrations of finance, including FinTech and Sustainability.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must have a Ph.D. in finance, economics, or a related field. The successful candidates must demonstrate potential for research leading to publications in top refereed journals and effective teaching at the university level. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications and will be competitive with top business schools.
ABOUT THE MIAMI BUSINESS SCHOOL: The Miami Business School is a comprehensive business school, offering undergraduate business, full-time MBA, Executive MBA, MS, PhD and non-degree executive education programs. It is one of 12 colleges and schools at the University of Miami, which is located in residential Coral Gables, Florida. The University is part of a major hub of international trade and commerce, and acclaimed for its global orientation and the diversity of its faculty, students, and curriculum.
ABOUT THE FINANCE DEPARTMENT: The Department of Finance faculty are actively engaged in research, and in recent years, members of our department have published their research in top journals in finance, economics, real estate, accounting, and management. Department members are also active in the editorial process of numerous journals. The department maintains an active seminar series and an internal brown bag series, and hosts the annual Miami Behavioral Finance Conference. We have strong Ph.D. program in Finance.
