As a Sr. Manager, Alliance Management at Otsuka, you will get the opportunity to work with our alliance management team on key alliances established or in the process of being established to further grow and expand Otsuka's product portfolio. You will be responsible for supporting assigned alliances as well as the alliance management function/team. This role includes a mix of alliance management- and project management-related activities.
Operationalize and manage the alliance governance framework - including but not limited to scheduling meetings, collaborating on agenda development, notetaking and documenting actions and decisions, etc.
Support activities occurring across the alliance life cycle from alliance start-up to alliance close-out
Establish and maintain relationships within and across organizations
Manage alliance performance per alliance metrics/measurement system
Support lead Alliance Managers: including but not limited to preparing and disseminating meeting materials, supporting efforts around managing conflict resolution and escalation processes, etc.
Create and document operational process guidelines to ensure efficient and streamlined work execution within the alliance partnership
Plan, implement, and monitor operational activities of alliance
Promote/Foster development of a collaborative culture across the organization
Ensure cross functional monitoring, coordination, and mutual compliance with contractual obligations
Document and analyze lessons learned within the alliance management forum to constantly improve and strength Alliance Management within Otsuka
Monitor the health and effectiveness of the alliances, implementing necessary action plans to address gaps
Other duties as assigned
6-8 years of relevant experience required within program management, alliance management, portfolio management or asset management (experience in alliance management highly preferred)
Experience working in a cross-matrix project team is essential with clinical and commercial development experience preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills including ability to effectively facilitate large cross-functional, cross-companies' meetings
Familiarity with legal and contractual governance.
Ability to think creatively and strategically to successfully mediate and negotiate with individuals and groups internally and externally.
Willingness to be accountable for all aspects of the alliance collaboration.
Requires strong understanding of the research, development, and commercialization of new drugs
Ability to collaborate with multiple teams and effectively operate in a rapidly changing environment
Demonstrated sensitivity and knowledge of cultural differences with experience in multi-country, multi-cultural environments within varying geographies
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with key stakeholders
Ability to work effectively within all levels of the organization
Master's Degree/MBA/PhD preferred
Strong understanding of the research, development and commercialization of new digital health solutions
