What will you do?
The Clinical Vertical within the Genetic Testing Solutions (GTS) is a cross-platform organization designed to accelerate GTS growth in the fast-growing molecular diagnostics sectors. The team is dedicated to working across all genetic analysis platforms with focus on various applied markets such as infectious disease, pharmacogenomics, public health and oncology. The role of Implementation Manager, Business Development will be responsible for managing all internal mechanisms involved in serving customers across all stages of account management. They will work with cross-functional groups across a matrixed organization to drive forward all processes required to deliver products and services. This role will serve as a “Concierge” and “Knowledge Hub” for both the business development team and its customers in relation to all internal processes and procedures, answering any questions and solving any challenges that may arise, as well as reporting and tracking all customer activity.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate internal information-gathering process with teams across the organization to assemble appropriate materials and knowledge for new customers, providing comprehensive solutions based on the entire product and services portfolio.
Manage all logistical, operational and administrative processes required to drive execution at all stages of customer needs and ensure timely delivery of products and services. This may include facilitating new orders, coordinating standing orders, obtaining required approvals, coordinating delivery schedules, etc.
Liaise with cross-functional and cross company teams to meet customer needs in all geographies. Primary groups include commercial (sales) colleagues as well as Product Management, Trade Compliance, Supply Chain management, Regulatory Affairs, Medical Affairs, Bioinformatics and R&D)
Facilitate and manage process for clinical studies as needed, including clinical trials for regulatory approval
Address any questions or problems that arise from customers or internal stakeholders in business development related to operations and logistics. This involves investigating internally and coordinating across teams to gather information and identify appropriate solutions in a timely manner.
Develop and maintain customer database for business development team
Ensure accurate tracking and reporting of all business development activities
Success linked to revenue targets for Clinical Vertical.
How will you get there? Education:
Requires accredited college or university degree, with a preference for a scientific/technical discipline
Experience:
Knowledge of professional processes in place at Thermo Fisher support departments (B2B, Pricing, Finance, Customer Care, Quality, Supply Chain)
Requires good knowledge of company functions globally and a deep understanding of the relationships and processes integration among departments within the business.
Background in commercial sales, account management, or manufacturing planning preferred
Familiarity with genetic analysis across multiple platforms and experience with capital equipment and consumables preferred
Requires ability to assess problem situations to identify causes, gather and process relevant information, generate possible solutions, and make recommendations and/or resolve the problem.
Requires ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships within the team, and broader organization to achieve goals.
Requires excellent organizational skills and project coordination skills
Requires experience with both detail execution and strategic orientation.
Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally in a large, complex and matrixed organization
