As Freight Audit Supervisor, you will have to lead team to administer, coordinate, and improve activities associated with third-party freight audit company and resulting rejected freight bills that need to be corrected with short- and long-term solutions put in place.
* Lead team to assist in publishing clear reports, showing trends, root cause issues, and actions needed to improve KPIs to around Agilent, freight audit provider, and carrier-related performance. * Data-mine freight history data to find potential opportunities to optimize methods of transportation in the future to save money. * Determine and develop approaches to administer processes, procedures, and rules to improve the auto-rating, department coding, and approval of freight bills while ensuring accuracy. * Solve a broad range of logistics finance administrative problems of varying scope and complexity.
* Higher education or specialized training/certification, or equivalent combination of education and experience. * 3 years relevant experience for entry to this level. * Complete understanding of general and technical aspects of the job.
* Experience supervising employees and delegating work assignments * Experience working with third party freight audit and payment * Must be strong and persuasive when working with carriers to resolve issues * Must be able to develop programs and processes around KPI's, using clear trend charts and pareto charts to measure Agilent, freight audit provider, and carrier related performance * Must have good understanding of freight carriers for all modes such as parcel, express, trucking, and freight forwarders * Must also have strong Excel skills * Must have good meeting management skills and fundamentals. * Financial background is a big plus
