Director of Development

The Director of Development is responsible for planning, execution, management, and evaluation of all fundraising efforts at the Village Learning Place, including grant writing, annual giving, major gifts, development and stewardship of donors, corporate sponsorship, and fundraising events. Additionally, the Director of Development oversees all donor correspondence and external communications.
This position works closely with the Executive Director, Board of Directors, and the Development & Public Relations Committee (a standing committee of the Board of Directors), and serves as a member of the VLP leadership team.

Qualifications & Requirements Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 5+ years of experience in a professional development role. Strong written, oral, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills are required. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented and able to manage multiple priorities effectively. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is necessary.
The Village Learning Place is an independent non-profit library that houses educational programs, enrichment opportunities, and informational resources for Charles Village and throughout Baltimore City.
