Assistant Women's Basketball Coach
Bellarmine University Athletics has an immediate opening for an Assistant Women's Basketball Coach. This position will assist the Head Women's Basketball Coach with all phases of the women's basketball program. The Assistant Coach is directly responsible to the Head Coach in all matters related to the operation of the program.
This position will assist the head coach in the framing and coaching of the University's team; assist in the scouting and recruiting of prospective players for enrollment at the University; provide academic support and retention for student-athletes; provide leadership and guidance necessary for a positive competitive environment for the student-athletes; communicate regularly with Head Coach concerning admissions, eligibility, recruiting, and any other procedures relating to the sport; assist the head coach in the promotion of the women's basketball program; participate in annual continuing education and testing as required by the NCAA, Conference, and/or Institution; assist the head coach in the day-to-day administrative duties.
A successful candidate will have a:
Bachelors degree, required
3-5 years of professional or collegiate coaching experience
Demonstrate knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations, required.
Recruiting experience, required.
