Wells Fargo Wholesale Customer Due Diligence data technology team is seeking a hands-on senior data developer to design, develop and drive key data initiatives. This position is an Oracle Developer (Application System Engineer 5) role to work with Wells Fargo Wholesale Risk Teams. 

The open position is for a STRONG senior developer with Oracle Development and Data Modeling experience. This role would primarily be focused on design, application development, enriching and conforming data to common data structures. conduct interfaces with other systems, creates test data, perform unit testing and recommend solutions and process improvements to resolve data problems in relation to different business requirement processes.

Duties to include:

  • Responsible for Identification and analysis of complex data issues including business requirements, SQL query and script design, data remediation, and solution implementation within the Wholesale due diligence customer monitoring system
  • Demonstrates strong SQL skills as well as analytical and communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to interact effectively with peers and business users
  • Performs data research, analysis, conceptual and logical data modeling to solve, validate, and remediate data issues
  • Advises management, business staff, and multiple technical peer groups on high impact database issues
  • Effectively communicates solution design to other team members and groups to ensure data remediation is understood and valid
  • Acts as lead or assists with the design of logical and/or physical databases
  • Assists with the development and review of data policies, procedures and standards  and assures that documentation is created, updated, and reviewed
  • Develop solutions using Oracle, Data Model, Stored Procedures and code PL/SQL programs
  • Provides mentoring, guidance and general oversight to less experienced staff in a variety of areas including database design, remediation and/or modeling activities
  • In-depth understanding of entity relationship design, data normalization & relational modeling techniques
  • Work very closely with business analysts, development teams and project managers for requirements and business rules
  • Pays attention to details and has strong communication skills both in verbal and written and the ability to communicate effectively with peers and business users


Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of application development and implementation experience
  • 5+ years of Oracle experience
  • 5+ years of experience with data analysis and documentation
  • 2+ years of stored procedures development experience
  • 4+ years of experience with databases such as Oracle, DB2, SQL server, or Teradata



Desired Qualifications

  • Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Data management experience
  • 5+ years of data modeling experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of data governance challenges and approaches: metadata, data quality, and data stewardship



Other Desired Qualifications
  • Strong demonstrated ability or history in identifying opportunities to automate manual processes
  • 3+ years of leading high-performing teams under stress and with expectation for delivery
  • Work experience in data analysis of complex data as well as reports metrics research
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related fields

  • Ability to travel up to 5% of the time



Salary Information

The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule.

NC-Charlotte: Min: $90,300 Mid: $129,000
MN-Minneapolis: Min: $90,300 Mid: $129,000
