Director of Wrestling Operations
The University of Iowa Athletics Department seeks applications for a Director of Wrestling Operations. This is a full-time, 12-month position, with a salary range of $43,000 - $48,000, and includes full University benefits. Responsibilities: The Director of Wrestling Operations is responsible for providing administrative direction and assistance to the University of Iowa wrestling program, as well as assist in the daily operations of the wrestling program.
Note to Candidate: This position requires some travel, work in the evenings, on weekends and holidays. Five professional references will be required at a later step in the recruitment process. The successful candidate will be subject to a credential and criminal background check and driving record review.

Qualifications & Requirements Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
• One year of related administrative experience in athletics, organizing and managing complex functions.
• Working knowledge and ability to:
o Utilize basic office productivity software and online database systems (please specify).
o Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills interacting with vendors, travel agencies, event managers, and customers/donors/fans.
o Work constructively and collaboratively in a diverse environment, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills and build trusting relationships.
o Work effectively in a highly regulated team environment
• One year of experience in athletics operations or event management experience at the NCAA Division 1 level is highly preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of the sport of wrestling as demonstrated by competing or coaching in a formal, competitive environment or wrestling operations experience is highly preferred.
• Working knowledge and ability to:
o Utilize video and analytical technology specific to the sport of wrestling (please specify programs used)
o Utilize web and mobile team communication application such as Teamworks (please specify)
o Organize and execute camps and clinics
o Maintain productive relationships with staff, students, prospects’ coaches and/or patrons
