Marriage & Family Therapy, Visiting Assistant Professor
The graduate Marriage & Family Therapy (MFT) Program at the University of Saint Joseph is seeking applications for a 9-month, full-time visiting assistant professor position in its COAMFTE accredited MFT program beginning in August 2018. The MFT Program is housed in the Department of Human Development & Family Studies in the newly formed School of Interdisciplinary Health and Science. The successful candidate will have academic, clinical, and supervision experience specific to the MFT position; possess a strong work ethic; and have the ability to engage others in a professionally caring manner.

Position Description
Responsibilities include: teaching master’s level courses specifically related to the clinical practice of marriage and family therapy, supervising MFT graduate students’ clinical practice, participating in the advancement of COAMFTE Education Outcomes, and engaging in professional responsibilities and service that will serve to advance the program and department.

Required Skills/Qualifications
• Completion of an earned doctoral degree (ABD considered) in Marriage & Family Therapy, preferably from a COAMFTE accredited program
• Clinical membership in American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) and preferably AAMFT Approved Supervisor Status
• LMFT credential or license eligible in the state of Connecticut
• Clinical and teaching experience germane to the position
• Commitment to an outcome and ethics based curriculum designed to prepare students for competent practice from a systemic framework
