Position Summary:
Auxiliary Operations. The Auxiliary Communications Officer creates and implements communications strategies that further Auxiliary Services' goals through brand promotion, interaction with key stakeholders and deployment of successful marketing campaigns from ideation to execution. The position requires occasional nights and weekends and possible extended hours to lead staff at events and programs.

Essential Functions

  • Develops supports, and promotes division goals including message development, social media content creation, and media outreach.
  • Plans, coordinates, and promotes events across the division's departments.
  • Engages key stakeholders and target audiences through advertising campaigns, events, creative designs, and managing a yearly content lifecycle.
  • Develops and disseminates public relations material that increase visibility among stakeholders and constituents.
  • Initiates market research studies and analyzes their findings.

    Bachelors Degree

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
    Effective communication (verbal and written), organization and human relations skills; ability to work well in a diverse environment; proficiency with computer and Microsoft Office Applications software including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases; successful completion of background investigation prior to employment.

    Preferred Education:
    Bachelors Degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or related field

    Preferred Experience::
    Two or more years of experience in communications strategy development; knowledge of digital marketing tactics such as SEO, email marketing, and keyword monitoring

    Salary Range: $30,358 - $37,931
