Overview:
The HR Intern provides a variety of clerical, coordination, and administrative activities in support of the Human Resources Department for the American Heart Association in Great Rivers Affiliate in the areas of recruiting, file maintenance and compliance, training, coaching and employee relations.
Responsibilities:
• Assist SVP HR & Talent Development with any projects
• Assist HR Business Directors with employee relations and/or recruiting duties
• Assist Talent Acquisition Director with the interview process
• Assist Talent Development Director with any training related duties
• Assist HR Administrative Associate with general clerical and administrative duties
• Projects and other duties may be assigned based on needs
Qualifications & Requirements Qualifications:
• Ideal candidates have an interest in the field of HR or studying HR
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively, occasionally under strict deadlines
• Strong attention to detail
• Exceptional computer skills required (Word, PP, Excel & Outlook)
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Integrity, humility and an entrepreneurial attitude
• Positive, goal-oriented outlook
• Ability to multi-task
• Willingness to learn and provide assistance as necessary
• Ability to exercise discretion when handling sensitive and confidential information
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with constantly changing priorities
• Ideal availability would be Mon-Fri from 8:30 to 12:30, however can be flexible
