IDEAtor Fellowship Program
An Insights Association and IDEA Council Program

Who we are and what we stand for

As an industry, Research & Insights is all about improving lives and helping consumers. We are behind the identification of emerging social trends and people needs using traditional and innovative, tech-enabled methodologies.

We are committed to bringing in more people into our industry who represent the people we help and the society we want to be.

The Insights Association's IDEA Council (which stands for Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Access), works to fulfill a mission to deliver measurement, education, and standards of excellence to address the lack of representation in the insights profession and the populations it researches. Our work aims to improve both the Profession and the Research. One of our priorities is to more intentionally in increase the representation profile of our industry. We want to nurture the diverse voices we need to truly represent the world we want to become, and we count on these different perspectives to help us shape the way we work in the future.

In this spirit, we have partnered with experts in DEI and high-profile Research, Data and Insight organizations to launch the IDEAtor Fellowship Program Class of 2023, starting July 2022.

What is the IDEAtor Fellowship Program

The IDEAtor Fellowship Program is a remote 12-month paid full-time internship, designed and offered by leading insights & data analytics sponsor organizations to accelerate the recruitment, development & progression of diverse talent in the industry.

IDEAtors in this program will also bring their unique voices and lived experiences to create new points of view and will be instrumental in pushing the boundaries of knowledge in Inclusive Insights. Together with IDEAtors, we are committed to shaping the future we want to create for our people and organizations and help us forge a new path for our industry. IDEAtors in the program will be hosted by high-profile research agencies and client organizations insights functions specializing in different research approaches, methodologies and technologies (e.g., qualitative, quantitative, AI).

These are some of the high-profile hosting organizations for this year’s program (and more are coming onboard!).

Could you be an IDEAtor?

IDEAtors are college graduating students or early career professionals with a passion for finding answers and the potential to thrive in the industry.

IDEAtors contribute and have responsibilities in one or more stages across the research cycle:

The program was expertly designed to benefit IDEAtors in many ways

• Beyond a ‘seat at the table’, they will have a ‘voice heard at the table’, because their voice is needed to shape a different and inclusive way to add the value we bring to the world
• Being part of a cohort is core to their support network from the start. They will have the support from a dedicated mentor, work immersion supervisor and the wider IDEAtor organizing team
• They will receive industry specific and leadership formal training to better equip them to thrive in the work immersions, research project and future careers
• Program designed with the expertise of the IDEA Council and Equitas Insight, a consultancy dedicated to driving Diversity, Equity & Inclusion impact in the workplace.
