Every child deserves a chance to succeed. We at Milton Hershey School are committed to ensuring that children born in poverty have an opportunity to receive a quality education and realize their full potential. Our students come from socially and economically needy backgrounds. Once they step onto our campus, doors are open to them and hope is a key part of their lives. They live in caring, family-like homes; have all of their health needs met; and have opportunities to participate in a wide variety of enriching extra-curricular activities. Here's the best part -- all of this is provided absolutely free.
Milton Hershey School is a residential school in central Pennsylvania serving about 1,400 students from pre-K through 12th grade. Through the generosity of Hershey Company founder Milton S. Hershey and his wife, catherine, who established the school in 1909 and set up an endowment to fund it forever, thousands of children's lives have been transformed.
Ours is an environment passionately committed to student success. Our staff members dedicate themselves to serving our students -- students who need a fair chance in life. We help them open doors to opportunities they never imagined existed. And we don't stop with graduation from high school. Every child who graduates from Milton Hershey School can earn a school-sponsored scholarship to further their education. we continue to mentor and guide them for five years after they've left our campus.
