“Hartford” says where we are, “Schools” says what we are. But “Public” is the word that says the most about the way we approach education. Public is everyone. And in our schools, everyone has a role to play in making great things happen.
Actions speak louder than words: the most important thing for parents to understand about our Mission and Vision is that these words inform our actions. On a daily basis, at the personal level, our teachers and administrators are taking action to bring about the full potential of each and every one of our students. Still, it is important to have principles to keep us on track during our progress. We share them here with you.
The Office of Talent Management will ensure that each school is led by an effective leader, and that each leader has the support to develop and retain highly qualified teachers — from recruitment to induction and ultimately through their career path development. We will employ effective, efficient, and collaborative processes and systems for staffing of qualified educational personnel; collection and communication of employee performance data; guidance and support with performance management; and recruitment, induction, and retention of new talent.
