Job Description

As a result of continued high growth, we are now looking to find a Senior Business Development Manager to drive business development in the US. Together with the US team you will play a vital role in fully establishing Tink as the number one player in US.

You will be positioned as an expert in open banking and the transformation that banks and financial institution are going through. As a crucial member of Tink’s Business Development Team in New York, you will design and execute Tink’s sales and growth strategy. This position is an opportunity for someone who wants to build a strong network and become a trusted advisor to leading American financial institutions.

As a Senior Business Development Manager, you will work closely with our Product, Strategy and Marketing teams and existing account teams to ensure successful sales. To be successful in this role you will need to be an expert in stakeholder management on various levels across the organization, in a global environment.

In this role, you need to be a strong networker with the ability to be a trusted advisor to our customers. You will be a part of selling solutions to some of the largest financial institutions in the world to drive innovation for consumers to create the next generation of financial services.

Responsibilities

  • You will become a domain expert in your area to build a network and become a trusted advisor to leading financial institutions and FinTech companies
  • You will build a customer portfolio by driving sales activities in the US
  • You will build strong relationships with key stakeholders at potential customers and turn them into Tink ambassadors
  • You will lead workshops and meetings with key customers to identify customer needs to match them with Tink’s offering
  • You will plan and drive the sales process from initial contact all the way to signature
  • Build brand awareness, plan and lead marketing activities for the US and co-drive successful marketing projects together with the Marketing team
  • Represent Tink at conferences and other public speaking events

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office three days a week, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic

  • 8+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 6 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA) 
  • You have a track record of top performance in new sales, ideally in B2B SaaS and/or technical financial solutions 
  • You have prior experience from selling deeply integrated solutions that support the delivery of technology 
  • You have a demonstrated ability to collaborate with senior internal and external stakeholders with strong communication skills
  • You have experience in managing contract negotiations
  • You have a strong business acumen, strategic thinker, and a customer-centric mindset. 
  • You are naturally curious and with a willingness to become an expert in your domain 
  • Personal attributes: entrepreneurial and gets things done, likes to find innovative, smart solutions to unfamiliar problems, pragmatic and solution-oriented, strong collaborator

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • 9-10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 9+ years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA)
  • Existing network within US fintech, financial services industry, or open banking industry
  • Experience or deep understanding of account-to-account payments

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 142,300.00 to 180,000.00 USD, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
