Boston College Law School is looking for someone with experience in higher education to fill its Assistant Director, Academic & Student Services position.
The Assistant Director provides support across the key functions of the Office of Academic and Student Services. On the academic side, the Assistant Director is integral to the course scheduling, registration, and examination processes. On the student services side, the Assistant Director is actively involved with providing academic and general student advising, connecting students to resources at the Law School and across the University, working with student organizations on their events and programs, and helping to coordinate and promote various events and programs led or co-led by the office. The work of the Assistant Director also helps to ensure that online resources (forms, website, etc.) are effective, that requests for various certifications and other actions by students are met, and that the office’s administrative support for graduate bar admission and related reporting is achieved.
The Assistant Director provides support for 30+ student organizations to help ensure successful programs, events and community building for the Law School, and supports over 100 unique annual events a year.
The Assistant Director engages with all of the administrative departments within the law school as well as departments at the University that provide services to BC students generally. The Assistant Director engages with outside vendors and with various state bars and serves on various committees across the University and Law School.
