In the wake of the Samantha Orobator case, and other abuses of African people, a member of my online networks recently posed the question, "What Can We Do?".
In the face of ongoing and systematic attacks against African American people and African people worldwide, what can we do?
I am going to be blogging about this again within the next few days, but in the meantime, check out my post on Positive Change and Transformation.
I am with an organization who is addressing human trafficking and everyone of us has a role to play to combat any activities the debase or derail the life of our sisters around the world. The organization is Global Projects (www.globalprojects.org). If you cannot go on a trip you can support those like yourself who are doing the legwork to bring about awareness and change. Consider supporting Global Projects and be partners with them as they go to make a difference on your behalf. They will be traveling to Uganda, Spain and Nigeria yet this year. In August 2009 we will hold a webnair symposium on Slavery and Human Trafficking, please consider being apart of that event. Call 313-205-7300 for more information.
