My Office Garage (1420 hits)

I just wanted to reconnect with people since not being a regular on the website.
Part of my New Years Resolution to complete some Goals of mine for 2009 was to create a office for me in the garage. I've noticed many people in my community have a shed out back (Yeah I'm frum d Souf), or the men have their space set up in garage.
You might can tell, I mainly work on goals at night when all quiets down. I get the music going, incense going, use a lamp instead of garage light, for energy and mainly for comfort (something I learned from a head lawyer where I interned at in my senior year of College, he was a cool white dude, looking out for me and he stated bright lights gave him headaches, I learned later that softer lights are tension releasers), I snack on honey wheat pretzels w no salt (I don't like salt, never had since kid and the food was heavily salted, you know how most of our elders do it!), sun flower seeds and either hot coffee or tea, what ever I am wanting at that time, and I read, study, write, etc. I was off the other day and started from that morning and finished around 5 a.m. One goal I completed after that was, catching up on emails and it felt good to complete.
The hardest thing for me to do is to focus all whats in my head and to put it down on paper and laptop.
My Aunt gave me a heater for Christmas since she knows I work out in the garage and I have my blue jacket out here (blue kit cap included). The heater is very comfortable out here and a Blessing.
All I did was put in action what I wanted to do. The desk was not wanted in house any longer, the chairs (a Church did not want any longer because they bought new chairs), the lamp was a gift for reading, the outdoors carpet for desk area, wife didn't in den any longer for whatever/various reasons. I liked the carpet in there to protect the underlying carpet from traffic, etc. After I set this office garage up, she insisted again and I gladly obliged (^;^). All what I could have bought, were free for me.
I'm listening to 101.5 (Tom Joyner station, maybe some of you can relate to that station?).
I also have memorabilia posted (Like my Grand Father photo, FAMU Commencement Book, etc.) and lil motivational notes, etc.
I know this a different type blog compared to the other important issues that people post.
Anyway, not trying to bore anyone, thank you for choosing to read/respond if you do.
Just trying to relate and connect to people who are pressing through to complete golas for 2009 and beyond.
Maybe someone else might want to share what they are putting into action to complete goals that they feel they have to do for self?
Have a good night.
God Bless
Sincerely
William
